Record with Riverside
Step-by-step
- Sign up at riverside.fm and create a new studio.
- Configure your studio settings: name, branding (logo, colors), and recording quality (up to 4K video, 48kHz audio).
- Invite guests: Riverside generates a unique link for each guest. They join from their browser — no app install required.
- Set up your recording environment: use a quiet room, good lighting (face a window or use a ring light), and a quality microphone.
- Do a pre-recording check: Riverside tests each participant's camera, microphone, and internet connection before recording starts.
- Start recording: Riverside records each participant locally (on their device) for maximum quality, then uploads tracks afterward.
- Use the live chat and producer controls during the session: mute/unmute participants, add timestamps for key moments.
- After recording, Riverside provides separate audio and video tracks for each participant — essential for professional editing.
- Download all tracks and import into Descript for editing.
- Use Riverside's built-in clips feature to extract highlights directly from the platform for quick social sharing.
