Schedule LinkedIn Content

Schedule LinkedIn posts for consistent publishing cadence

Instructions

Schedule LinkedIn Content

Prerequisites

  • LinkedIn profile set up with Creator Mode
  • 2+ weeks of post ideas ready

Steps

  1. Set your posting frequency. Start with 3 posts per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). This is sustainable and sufficient to build momentum. Consistency matters more than frequency -- 3 posts per week for 6 months beats daily posting for 3 weeks then stopping.

  2. Choose optimal posting times. For B2B audiences, post between 7:30-9:30am in your audience's primary timezone. Tuesday through Thursday typically get the most engagement. Avoid weekends and Fridays after noon. Test different times for 4 weeks and track which performs best.

  3. Batch create content. Set aside 2-3 hours once per week to write all posts for the following week. Batching is more efficient than writing daily. Write the hooks first, then fill in the body. Having a batch ready prevents the "what should I post today" paralysis.

  4. Use a scheduling tool. Use LinkedIn's native scheduling (click the clock icon when composing) or a third-party tool (Buffer, Taplio, Shield). Native scheduling is free and simple. Third-party tools add analytics, AI suggestions, and cross-platform publishing if you need that.

  5. Plan content themes. Assign themes to days. Example: Monday = customer story or case study, Wednesday = tactical how-to or framework, Friday = opinion or industry observation. Themes reduce decision fatigue and ensure you cover different content types.

  6. Leave room for reactive content. Keep 1-2 slots per week open for timely topics: industry news, responses to trending posts, or real-time learnings. The best-performing LinkedIn posts often come from authentic reactions to something that just happened.
