Engage before you post. Spend 15 minutes engaging with others' content before publishing your own post. Leave thoughtful comments on 5-10 posts from people in your ICP, industry peers, and larger accounts in your niche. This warms the algorithm and puts your profile in front of relevant audiences.

Write valuable comments. A good comment adds to the conversation: share a related experience, respectfully disagree with a point, or add a data point the author missed. Bad comments: "Great post!", "So true!", heart emoji. Thoughtful comments on big accounts are seen by thousands -- treat each one as micro-content.

Reply to every comment on your posts. Within the first 2 hours of posting, reply to every comment. This doubles your comment count (your replies count too), signals engagement to the algorithm, and builds relationships. Ask follow-up questions to keep the conversation going.

Use DMs strategically. When someone engages meaningfully with your content, send a DM: "Hey [name], loved your comment about [specific point]. Curious -- are you currently dealing with [problem your product solves]?" This is warm outreach, not cold. Convert engaged followers into conversations.

Build a commenting pod (optional). Coordinate with 5-10 peers to consistently engage with each other's posts in the first hour after publishing. Genuine, thoughtful comments from real accounts in the first hour dramatically increase post reach. Do not use automated engagement tools.

Track pipeline from LinkedIn. Tag contacts in your CRM with source "LinkedIn" when conversations start from post engagement or DMs. Track monthly: profile views, connection requests received, DM conversations started, meetings booked from LinkedIn activity. This connects your effort to pipeline.
