Step-by-step

  1. Each event type in Cal.com has a unique booking URL: cal.com/yourname/event-slug.
  2. Customize the slug for each event type to be descriptive: /discovery, /demo, /coffee-chat.
  3. Add your booking link to your email signature: 'Book a call: cal.com/yourname/discovery'.
  4. Add it to your LinkedIn profile: put the link in your Featured section and your About section.
  5. Use booking links in cold emails: include as the CTA in your final email step — 'Pick a time that works: [link]'.
  6. Embed the Cal.com widget on your website: use the inline embed or popup embed on your pricing or contact page.
  7. Create team booking links: for round-robin distribution, create a team event type so meetings are assigned to available team members.
  8. Use UTM parameters to track booking sources: cal.com/yourname/demo?utm_source=linkedin&utm_campaign=q1-outbound.
  9. Test your booking flow: book a test meeting yourself, check the confirmation email, and verify calendar event creation.
  10. Monitor booking rates: track how many people visit your booking page vs. complete a booking. If conversion is low, simplify the form or reduce availability constraints.
