Instructions

  1. Run signup-funnel-audit drill to instrument every signup step with PostHog events (page view, form focus, field completion, field errors, submission, account creation, email verification).

  2. Run posthog-gtm-events drill to align signup events with standard naming convention.

  3. Wait 7 days for baseline data collection.

  4. Build PostHog funnel and identify the step with the largest absolute drop-off.

  5. Review 15-20 session recordings of users who dropped off at the primary bottleneck.

  6. Categorize friction: form confusion, validation blocking, mobile issues, trust concerns.

  7. Record baseline metrics: signup page CVR, form start rate, form completion rate, form error rate, mobile vs desktop CVR.

  8. Run threshold-engine drill to evaluate: is data clean, are events firing, and is the primary bottleneck identified?

  9. If pass, proceed to Baseline with documented baselines and prioritized friction list.

  10. If fail (missing events or noisy data), fix instrumentation and re-run 7-day collection.
