Instructions

  1. Run cross-sell-catalog-mapping drill to map product catalog to behavioral triggers using PostHog cohort comparison.

  2. Pick the single highest-scoring product (trigger converts >=10% historically, >=50 users in cohort).

  3. Run addon-discovery-surface-build drill for ONE product, ONE surface type (tooltip or banner).

  4. Instrument PostHog events: addon_discovery_impression, addon_discovery_clicked, addon_activation_started, addon_activated.

  5. Implement fatigue controls: suppress after 2 dismissals.

  6. Human review: verify surface copy, placement, and PostHog events fire correctly.

  7. Enable for 20-50 triggered users. Observe 5-7 days without changes.

  8. Run threshold-engine drill: >=15% CTR on cross-sell surface among triggered users.

  9. If PASS, proceed to Baseline. If FAIL, diagnose: CTR <5% = copy/placement wrong; 5-14% = refine surface type; dismissal >50% = tighten trigger.
