- Card completion rate
- Retention lift signal
Instructions
-
Run the best-practices-content-pipeline drill: define a power-users cohort in PostHog (top 10% by session frequency and feature breadth), watch 20-30 session recordings, document behavior patterns average users do not follow.
-
For each pattern, query PostHog retention data: compare 30-day retention of users who exhibit the pattern vs. those who do not. Rank by retention lift.
-
Select the top 5 patterns. Structure each as a content card with: title, hook (under 80 chars), 2-3 steps with exact UI element names, CTA deep link, trigger event, exclude event.
-
Generate card body text via Anthropic API (scannable in 30 seconds, benefit-led, Grade 8 reading level). Publish to Intercom Help Center.
-
Instrument PostHog events: best_practice_shown, best_practice_clicked, best_practice_completed, best_practice_dismissed.
-
Human action required: review each card for accuracy, verify UI element names and deep links.
-
Select 20-50 active users with at least one trigger_event. Manually target them in Intercom with relevant in-app messages. Deliver one card per user per day, highest retention lift first.
-
Monitor daily for 7 days: impressions, clicks, completions, dismissals.
-
Run the threshold-engine drill: evaluate >=35% of test group clicked at least one card CTA. Pass: proceed to Baseline. Fail: diagnose impression rate, dismissal rate, or completion gaps and re-run.
